Returners to Financial Services Scotland Programme

Are you a woman returner based in Scotland and interested in returning to work within banking, asset management, financial advice or other financial services?

We have been awarded Scottish Government funding to develop and run the Returners to Financial Services Scotland Programme. This cross-company returnship programme will run in Edinburgh and Glasgow. It will enable up to 40 experienced professional women on an extended career break, with a background in financial services or with transferable skills, to get back into suitable-level employment. Seven leading employers TSB, Prudential, RBS Group, BNP Paribas, Independent Women, Standard Life Aberdeen and Hymans Robertson have already signed up to offer placements on the programme.

The Programme

The Returners to Financial Services Scotland Programme will run for 3 months, starting in April 2018, with transition support provided and a possibility of ongoing employment at the end of the programme, if it is successful for both company and returner. The programme will be driven by the recruitment needs of the participating organisations. You will take on paid work using your professional skills, gaining recent and relevant CV experience. You will also receive support from an internal mentor and participate in a group returner coaching programme from Women Returners, with the additional benefit of peer support from a group of other returning professional women.

Participating Companies

A range of financial services companies – TSB, Prudential, RBS Group, BNP Paribas, Independent Women, Standard Life Aberdeen and Hymans Robertson – have already signed up to participate in the programme. Check back here for updates.
