Capgemini UK recognises that the transition from an extended career break back into the workplace can be challenging. This is why they are partnering with Women Returners to launch the Return@Capgemini Programme to bring talented professionals into the organisation.
About Return@Capgemini
The Return@Capgemini Programme offers a paid placement of 6 months, with the possibility of a permanent role at the end of the programme, to talented professionals that have been on a career break for 2 or more years.
The Programme will provide:
- Meaningful experience
- Individual development programme
- Mentoring and coaching support
- Access to a community of others in the same situation.
Capgemini has a great environment for those returning to work after a break, and you can read more about the experiences of working at Capgemini from their Women at Capgemini pages. Here are the stories of two of their employees who joined the Return@Capgemini Programme in 2017:
Geraldine ‘Having the Returner programme really feels like a lifeline’
Sara ‘My Journey as a Capgemini Returner’

Who are they looking for?
If you’re interested in joining a leading organisation in the tech sector, have had an extended career break (typically more than two years), and have the right to work in the UK, Capgemini would love to hear from you if you’ve got experience in any of the following areas:
- Project or Programme Management
- Business Analysis
- Software Engineering
- Management Consulting (with experience in one or more of the following sectors: Financial Services, Utilities, Central Government, Consumer Products, Retail)
- Cyber Security
The majority of their people work full time, on a fully mobile basis around the UK, but finding the right people is their biggest priority, and they appreciate that working full-time isn’t necessarily right for everyone. So, let them know if you feel you’re a great fit for this role, and would like to work flexibly. As an example, some of their team members work four days a week, but travel across the UK during their working days. Or you might prefer to work three days a week (in a job share scenario) with travel limited to Greater London. If you are the right person to join the returnship, they will aim to find the right working approach for you.
