Career breaks can be taken for any number of reasons, be it to look after a young family, provide elderly care, for health reasons, travel, volunteering, study or just time out. M&GPrudential recognises that the journey back can be daunting.

The M&GPrudential Career Returner Programme is aimed at talented professionals looking to return to the workplace (generally into mid to senior level roles). It is open to men and women who have taken an extended career break of 18 months or more (as at September 2019). During this time, you may have worked on a small-scale or self-employed basis to fit around your other commitments or have not done any paid work for a number of years.

About M&GPrudential

Working with M&GPrudential means becoming part of a brand with a global reputation and an exciting vision: to become the best-loved and most successful savings and investments business.

The forthcoming planned de-merger of M&GPrudential from the Prudential Group PLC provides a terrific opportunity to create a truly international and integrated savings and investments firm. A firm built on a rich and long history and with a commitment to an innovative future centred on the needs of customers and clients. There is a genuine opportunity to drive competitive advantage with value creation through the formation of this new organisation.

About the Programme

Successful applicants will receive a paid placement of six months starting in September 2019, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role at the end of the placement.

To support successful candidates back into the workplace, individuals will receive practical mentoring together with coaching support from Women Returners to help address the challenges faced by professionals returning to work.

M&GPrudential recognises that a good work-life balance is important to many returners and, wherever possible, may be able to offer a variety of flexible working arrangements.
