Independent Women Returners Programme

Independent Women, the UK’s longest-running IFA firm providing financial advice to women, is expanding nationally and is looking for talented individuals to join their advisory team. Independent Women is delighted to partner with Women Returners as part of this cross-company Returners to Financial Services Scotland Programme funded by the Scottish Goverment.

If you are looking for a career in financial advice and would like to join a small, friendly team in design award-winning premises with a fabulous aspect on the Shore in Leith, with the backing of a leading national company, they would love to hear from you.

How will you benefit from the programme?

The  programme  offers  paid  placements  of 3 months, starting in April 2018. You will receive internal mentoring together with coaching support from Women Returners to help you transition successfully back into the workplace. As coaching support will be delivered centrally, you will benefit from a large supportive peer network.

Who are they looking for?

Independent Women has two different placements available: Wealth Planners and Paraplanner

Wealth planners provide advice to individuals and businesses across a broad spectrum of finance such as pensions, investments, protection and tax. They are committed individuals with a unique aptitude, blending financial acumen, customer service and sales skills. They build long lasting relationships with their clients and enjoy deep customer loyalty due to the quality of their advice and service. They are able to integrate with individuals on all levels and provide information in a straightforward way. They are warm, personable, dependable and professional.

Paraplanners provide research and technical support to the planning team, covering a broad spectrum of the advice process such as pensions, investments, protection and tax. Their unique aptitude blends financial acumen, superlative technical knowledge, attention to detail, and interpretive skills. They are able to integrate with clients as well as colleagues and provide information to both in a personable, straightforward way. They are accurate, technically competent, dependable and professional.
