Heriot’s Rugby Club is one of Scotland’s foremost clubs and is looking for an Operations Director and Sponsorship and Sales Manager.
Both of these roles are supported hire permanent positions – successful hires who have taken a career break of 2+ years will receive coaching support through the transition period from Women Returners.
About Heriot’s Rugby Club
Heriot’s Rugby Club has operated at the top of the Scottish game since its foundation in 1890 and more recently over the last 45 years has never been demoted from the topflight. The club fields a Super 6 side a National One side a further fifteen and a National One Women’s side.
The Sponsorship and Sales Manager will devise a sponsorship strategy to maximise sponsorship revenues. The role involves ensuring that value is added to sponsors’ relationship with the Club. To widen the target market for the Clubs events and to generate maximum sales.
This role would suit a returner who has relevant experience in a comparable role. It requires someone who is highly organised with business customer and relationship management experience. If you have an enthusiastic, upbeat attitude then Heriot’s Ruby Club would love to hear from you.
The Operations Director will manage all aspects of the Club’s operations to support on field activities and commercial success. Ensuring the optimal utilisation of all Club assets, including the rugby pavilion, to facilitate maximising the Club’s revenue within agreed cost parameters. The role is the fulcrum of the Club and key to its ongoing success.
This role requires someone with an operational background at management level, with an understanding of Health & Safety. Excellent organisational and communications skills are a must for this role, alongside high attention to detail and the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Alongside the Operations Director and Sponsorship and Sales Manager there is an Administration Manager. These three roles work in close concert with the Operations Director having overall accountability. The Board of the Club comprises 11 people covering all the functions of the Club.
