Senior Business Analyst – Fixed Income Technology
Fidelity International is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their UK Fixed Income Technology Team in their Cannon Street Offices in London. This is a supported hire permanent position – successful hires who have taken a career break of 2+ years will receive coaching support through the transition period from Women Returners.

About the Role
The Fixed Income Development team is responsible for delivering strategic and tactical technology solutions (both in house built or vendor acquired) across the Fixed Income front office business. Senior Business Analysts are subject matter experts, with a balanced mix of Fixed Income asset class knowledge and technology expertise.
The role encompasses problem definition; solution ownership and implementation. The successful candidate is expected to work closely with the business to gather and articulate requirements; understand and document business processes and work with the development and testing team to deliver solutions. The successful candidate will have experience of the development project lifecycle and the role will provide exposure to all the systems used by the Fixed Income front office business areas. The Fixed Income Development team works as a global team across London, India and Hong Kong.
About the Department
Investment Management Technology provides systems development, implementation and support services for Fidelity International’s global Investment Management division. They support Fund Managers, Research Analysts, Traders and Investment Directors in all of Fidelity International’s locations, including London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Fidelity is embarking on a number of strategic programmes of work that will create a technology platform to support the next evolutionary stage of their Investment Process. These programmes span across asset classes and include Portfolio and Risk Management; Fundamental and Quantitative Research, Trading and Reporting.
What does the job involve?
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the business and technology team members
- Requirements gathering that include core analysis of business processes, business problems and data analysis
- Ownership and management of projects and products from initiation through testing and implementation
- Communicating within technology and business groups and across geographies
- Ability to troubleshoot problems; identify root causes and propose solutions
- Provide technical input into development projects
- Producing, checking and assessing project documentation
- Provide training and assistance to the business and technology
