Careers in Central Government – Career Changers Event

Applications for the July & Oct events are now closed

Women Returners is partnering with the UK Central Government to launch a Career Changers Event on Monday 4th July 2016 for finance, legal and commercial professionals who have taken an extended voluntary career break and are now looking to return to the workforce. The event is particularly suitable for people who have significant experience within the private sector and who would be interested in transitioning into the public sector.

About the Event

The objectives are to provide return-to-work support and information, together with an initial exploration of opportunities within The Cabinet Office, Her Majesty’s Treasury and other Departments.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Departments through speaker sessions and networking with current employees. They will also participate in a coaching workshop from Women Returners focused on preparing for their return to work.

Her Majesty’s Government counts many professional women as civil servants. The Civil Service supports job shares and flexible working arrangements. The work is both interesting and rewarding. Generally, the travel is limited and the hours are predictable.
